Passarella Mediterranea Event
On Sunday October 6 the event Passerella Mediterranea took place , an important event to highlight an extraordinary craft and a territory that has managed not to lose its identity, while becoming an international tourist destination. Designed by Carmela Comes and promoted by Urban Events, with the support of the Region Puglia, the Municipality of Grottaglie and numerous institutional partners, the event is confirmed as one of the main stages to promote the Apulian territory as ideal destination for dream weddings.
As we know, Puglia has risen on the podium of the international Destination Wedding and represents one of the most suggestive natural scenographies in Italy, not only for its landscape characteristics, but also and above all for the cultural and culinary traditions that have made it an excellence. Therefore, everything has been taken care to enhance the uniqueness of Puglia as a destination not only tourist, but also ideal for an unforgettable wedding.
The real heart of the event was the presentation of “Sensations”, the 2025 bride collection by Carmela Comes. The parade took place in the square of Grottaglie, the models have worn fabulous wedding dresses that carried all those present on a sensory journey inspired by the beauties of the Apulian territory. Fine fabrics, hand-made embroidery and exclusive yarns were the protagonists of the Carmela Comes bride collection. Not only – the designer has created dresses with important silhouettes that celebrate a sophisticated aesthetic thanks to skillful manual work. The sea, the scents of the land and the history of Puglia have fused into a single vision, transforming the clothes in a tribute to the identity and charm of this region.
The set-ups of the show were inspired by Apulian craftsmanship: from luminaries to beautiful ceramic sculptures, to fascinating crochet details. In the centre, the wedding dress show by Carmela Comes, but in reality a synergy has been created that brings together ceramics, lighting, gastronomy and much tradition.
